How to Start Selling Food on WeFood (No Tech Skills Needed)

Already cooking amazing food? Whether you run a restaurant, a food stall, or cook from home, WeFood lets you reach hundreds of hungry customers without building a website, hiring a delivery team, or understanding technology. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use WeFood.

What is WeFood for Vendors?

WeFood is the food delivery module inside WeFoundIt. As a vendor, you get:

• 💰 Payments directly to your MoMo or Orange Money

Requirements to Join

You need:

• ✅ A phone (Android or iPhone) with internet
• ✅ MTN MoMo or Orange Money account for receiving payments
• ✅ Food you want to sell (restaurant, street food, home cooking)
• ✅ Ability to prepare orders within 30-45 minutes

That's it. No business license required to start (though we recommend formalizing as you grow). No website, no Instagram page, no tech skills.

How to Get Started (Under 10 Minutes)

Step 1: Download and Register

Get the WeFoundIt app and create an account. Select "I want to sell food" during registration.

Step 2: Set Up Your Restaurant Profile

Add your:

• Restaurant/kitchen name
• Location (we'll show you on the map to nearby customers)
• Operating hours (when you can accept orders)
• A cover photo (your restaurant front or signature dish)

Step 3: Create Your Menu

Add dishes one by one:

• Name: "Ndole with Plantain and Beef"
• Price: 2,500 XAF
• Photo: Take a photo of the dish (natural lighting works best)
• Description: Brief description and portion size
• Preparation time: How long it takes

You can add, edit, or remove menu items anytime.

Step 4: Go Live

Toggle your status to "Open" when you're ready to accept orders. Customers in your delivery radius will see your restaurant in the WeFood feed.

Handling Orders

1. You receive a notification: "New order: 2x Ndole, 1x Jollof Rice"
2. Accept the order and start preparing
3. Mark "Ready for Pickup" when the food is done
4. A delivery driver arrives, picks up the order, and delivers to the customer
5. Payment is credited to your wallet

Pricing Your Food

Tips for competitive pricing on WeFood:

• Check what similar restaurants charge in your area
• Include packaging costs in your price (don't surprise customers with extras)
• Offer combo meals for better value perception
• Start slightly lower to build reviews, then adjust upward
